The OM7M callsign appeared in both parts of the CQ160m contest this year.
In the CW section…
…four excellent operators took part: Milan OM2KI, Jano OM2IB, Miro OM5RW, and Lubo OM5ZW. They achieved 1st place in Europe and 2nd place worldwide. Band conditions were affected by a strong X-class solar flare several days before the contest. The team made 1.2k QSOs (71 DXCC entities and 24 W/VE states).
The February SSB part…
… on the Top Band brought another victory. In the Single Operator Assisted category, Alex UR5AS, operating under our contest callsign OM7M, defeated many experienced operators. This contest was also affected by poor conditions, although not as severely as in the CW section. Nevertheless, Alex made 731 QSOs (62 DXCC entities and 15 W/VE states) and deservedly won the competition.
